: Digitally Controlled Analog Multi-effects Pedal

DCAMP is a digitally controlled analog sound processing tool for musicians. All the covienence of dynamic digital presets and effect order chaining with the purity of an analog only pedal boards. The DCAMP accepts upto 16 plug-n-play effect boards which can be configured and ordered along the audio path dynamically according to software presets. A microcontroller and simple OS serve up a simplistic UI through LCD + DPAD to configure said presets and audio path. Sheilding and opto-coupling is used to isolate the digital control signals from the audio path. The audio path is never encoded or decoded.

: 3 entity autonomous robot swarm

ROBI (Ro-Beye) is a term I use to describe my co-operative autonmous family of robots. These robots include Robi (Ro-bee), the parent, and Remi and Multi, the two children. The robots are modeled after real bological behaviors that vaguely simulate a family of ducks. The robots communicate with each other, are aware of each other's relative posistion and distance, can navigate environment, all while achieving the goal of parent-child emergent behaviors.

  • TJ/Rugwarrior inspired body designed in AutoCAD
  • Bumper made from circle of wood cut into front, back, and two left/right wing sections
    • Each section has lever bump switches which rotate on an axis
  • Two Hitec HS-81 Servos - Hacked for full/continuous rotation
  • Omni-Directional Caster Wheel (Tamiya 70144) from www.pololu.com
    • The caster is extended using 3" threaded rods and nuts

  • Maveric IIB Atmega128 Board (Parent) / Atmega128 Headerboard (Child)
  • Custom IS471F Proximity Detector with 2 Pulsed IR LEDs  
  • LCD 4bit 2x16 (For parent only; children can send messages to parent to display)
  • Custom Sight Sensor using IR 56kHz Detector, two IR LED eyes, 555 timer, and Digital Pot
  • RF Link, serial, 315Mhz, 4800bps from www.sparkfun.com
  • 8xAA NiMh 2500mAh (~11V regulated to 9V)

: A fully featured sudoku game / solver / generator

mySudoku started from scratch as an OO sudoku game engine upon which a human markup-style AI solver was written. It's now a completely free fully featured OpenGL based windows game avaiable for download. The game features markup annotation, custom and random board creation, difficulty ratings, and is skinabble. The solver is said to be a human-style AI because it never guesses or backtracks instead looking for known patterns in the markup annotation.
